The 48-Hour Strategy

Most strategic planning processes take too long, involve too many people, and produce documents nobody reads. When the market shifts and your current strategy stops working, you do not have six months for a strategic review. You have days. This workshop gives business leaders a rapid restrategising framework that compresses the essential work of a strategy reset into 48 hours: cutting through the noise, identifying the two or three moves that actually matter right now, and committing to a direction with enough speed to stay ahead of the disruption. Built for leaders who need to act, not just plan

What will you learn?

  • Run a complete strategic review in 48 hours without sacrificing the quality of the thinking or the buy-in of the team.
  • Identify the two or three strategic moves that will have the most impact on your business right now, and stop wasting energy on everything else.
  • Use a rapid prioritisation framework to cut through competing options when the data is incomplete and time is short.
  • Build organisational commitment to a new direction fast, so momentum does not die while people are still debating the plan.
  • Leave with a one-page 48-Hour Strategy Canvas that becomes your team's north star for the next 90 days

Prerequisites

Participants should have some experience in business, product management, or leadership roles.

Course Curriculum

4h total length

Day 1 – Thinking Beyond the Predictable

The Rapid Strategic Diagnosis

  • Run a compressed situation assessment that surfaces the most important strategic facts without getting lost in analysis.

  • Identify which parts of your current strategy are still valid, which are broken, and which need to be abandoned entirely.

  • Use the Strategic Priority Filter to narrow your options to the two or three moves that matter most right now.

  • Separate urgent decisions from important decisions and protect the strategy reset from being hijacked by short-term noise.

Hands-On Exercise: Participants run a rapid diagnosis of their own business using the Strategic Priority Filter, identifying their top two current strategic gaps.

Decide, Commit, Move

  • Apply a structured decision framework to choose a strategic direction confidently even when information is incomplete.

  • Build a one-page 48-Hour Strategy Canvas that captures direction, priorities, constraints, and the first three actions.

  • Design the minimum viable communication plan that gets your team aligned and moving without endless alignment meetings.

  • Identify the single biggest execution risk for your chosen direction and build a mitigation into the plan before you launch.

Hands-On Exercise: Participants complete their one-page 48-Hour Strategy Canvas for their real business and identify their first three actions for the following week.
