Building a Business Continuity Plan That Actually Works

Most business continuity plans sit in a drawer, written once, never tested, and completely useless when a real crisis hits. This half-day workshop tears up the compliance document approach and replaces it with a living, tested continuity plan built around the leader's real business. Participants will map their critical processes, identify their hidden dependencies, and sequence their recovery actions in a way that reflects how their organisation actually works. By the end, every participant leaves with a BCP they understand, believe in, and can execute under pressure.

What will you learn?

  • Map the critical processes that keep your business running and know exactly which ones to protect first when things go wrong
  • Identify the hidden dependencies and single points of failure that most BCPs miss until it is too late.
  • Build a recovery sequence that reflects the real priority order of your business, not a generic template.
  • Design a testing protocol that keeps your BCP alive and current without requiring a full-scale exercise every year.
  • Leave with a complete, tested business continuity plan for your actual organisation, ready to present to your board or leadership team.

Participants should have some experience in business, product management, or leadership roles.
